Dorchester is a privately held firm that provides a partnership track for our colleagues. Currently, the firm has six partners (shown below). The Investments and Operations teams are supported by out-sourced industry and subject matter consultants, auditors, fund administration, custody, and legal. Senior investment professionals average over 30 years experience, most members of the Research team have direct investment experience in corporate credit prior to joining the firm. Dorchester is a tightly knit team of mostly senior professionals, based in Los Angeles, with an average employee tenure of over ten years.

Founder, Chief Investment Officer
Mark Zucker, CFA
Mark co-founded Dorchester and is the firm’s Chief Investment Officer.
Prior to Dorchester, Mark was founder and Portfolio Manager of Anvil Investment Partners, L.P., a distressed securities hedge fund. He was previously a co-founder and Senior Vice President of Libra Investments, Inc., a broker-dealer in high yield and distressed securities, later sold to U.S. Bancorp. Mark began his career in investment banking in 1983 at Dillon, Read & Co., Inc. in New York, and then, in the mid 1980’s at Chanin & Company, a restructuring advisory firm embedded within Drexel Burnham Lambert.
Mark is a member of the Boards of Cycorp, New Dawn Mining, The Herbert D. Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, and Prepory College Counseling.
Mark earned a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School with majors in Finance and in Entrepreneurial Management, and simultaneously a B.A. from the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania with a major in International Relations. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.

Partner, Director of Research
Bryan Scordamaglia, CFA
As the Director of Research, Bryan leads the Investment team in originating, evaluating, and managing investments across Dorchester’s strategies. He is responsible for managing all aspects of the investment and portfolio management processes for the Credit Opportunities and Secondaries funds.
Bryan joined Dorchester in 2009 from the California Endowment, where he oversaw hedge funds and external long-only equity and credit strategies. His professional experience includes Fixed Income Portfolio Manager with Macquarie Allegiance Capital and High Yield Analyst within TCW’s Leveraged Finance Group.
Bryan earned a B.S. in Business Economics magna cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Partner, Director in Research
Matthew Kuhns, CFA
As Director in Research, Matthew is a senior member of the Investment Research team and plays a critical role in the investment process for the Credit Opportunities and Secondaries funds.
Matthew has over 20 years of experience as a portfolio manager, with firms such as JMG Capital and Transamerica Investments. During his career as a mutual/pension fund manager, Matthew was recognized as a top-rated fund manager by Lipper, the Wall Street Journal, and Pensions & Investments magazine. He has been quoted in publications such as Businessweek, Reuters News Wire, The Street.com, Brill’s Mutual Fund Interactive, and the NY Post.
Matthew earned a B.A. in Social Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.B.A. from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Director in Operations and Research
Jason Gabrielli, CFA
Jason serves as a Director in Research, and in addition to ongoing manager monitoring, assists with the firm’s Client Relations and Business Development efforts.
Prior to this, he served as an Analyst and then an Associate in Research, assisting in tracking and monitoring hedge funds, as well as, performing quantitative analysis and manager due diligence. He earned a B.S. in Finance, Magna Cum Laude from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.

Chief Operating Officer
Stefanie Keuler, CPA
Stefanie serves as Chief Operating Officer and Director of Operations Due Diligence. She oversees manager operations due diligence, and our middle office operations including the development of closed-end strategies settlement process, and key vendors.
Prior to joining Dorchester as an Analyst, Stefanie worked at Ernst & Young LLP, New York, as a Senior Auditor in the financial services group. Her role included assessing the internal controls and the trade flow through various trading, risk and accounting systems as well as the policies and procedures around cash and valuation.
Stefanie earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Delaware. She is a Certified Public Accountant (New York).

Chief Financial Officer & Chief Compliance Officer
Craig Carlson, CFA, CPA
Craig serves as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer.
Before joining Dorchester, Craig was the Chief Financial Officer for Metropolitan West Capital Management, an equity investment manager. Prior to that, he served a dual role as CFO for Metropolitan West Securities, a securities lending firm, and as Corporate Controller for Metropolitan West Financial, a financial services holding company. Craig began his career as an auditor at Deloitte & Touche, specializing in financial services.
Craig earned a B.S. in Business from Miami University (Ohio). He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder and a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
