Mark Zucker, CFA

Co-Founder, CIO

Mark serves as the Chief Investment Officer and co-founded the firm in 2001. Mark was formerly the founder of Anvil Investment Partners, L.P. a distressed credit fund. Earlier, he was a co-founder of Libra Investments, Inc., a broker-dealer in high yield and distressed securities. Mark began his career in investment banking in 1983 at Dillon, Read & Co., Inc. and continued at Chanin & Company, a restructuring advisory firm embedded within Drexel Burnham Lambert. Mark is a member of the Boards of Cycorp, New Dawn Mining, The Herbert D. Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, and Prepory College Counseling. Mark earned a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School with majors in Finance and in Entrepreneurial Management, and simultaneously a B.A. from the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania with major in International Relations. Mark is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.

Matthew Kuhns, CFA

Director, Partner
Matthew serves as a Director in Research. As the head of the Investment Research Team, Matthew oversees all aspects of investment sourcing, due diligence, portfolio management and ongoing monitoring of investments. He is a seasoned investment professional, having spent the last 20 years working as a portfolio manager for various firms such as hedge fund JMG Capital and Transamerica Investments. During his career as a mutual/pension fund manager he won several awards such as top ten manager in the USA from Pensions and Investments, top ten manager in the US from Lipper as published in the Wall Street Journal and has been quoted in publications such as Business Week, Reuters News Wire, The Street.com, Brill’s Mutual Fund Interactive, and the NY Post. Matthew earned a B.A. in Social Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.B.A. from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.

Craig Carlson, CFA

CFO, CCO, Partner
Craig serves as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. Craig oversees all aspects of the Operations group and compliance. Before joining Dorchester, Craig was the Chief Financial Officer for Metropolitan West Capital Management, an equity investment manager. Prior to that, he served a dual role as CFO for Metropolitan West Securities, a securities lending firm, and as Corporate Controller for Metropolitan West Financial, a financial services holding company. Craig began his career as an auditor at Deloitte & Touche, specializing in financial services. Craig earned a B.S. in Business from Miami University (Ohio). He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder and a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

Stefanie Keuler, CPA

COO, Partner
Stefanie serves as Chief Operating Officer and Director of Operations Due Diligence. Stefanie oversees all aspects of manager operations due diligence and the trade settlement process. Prior to joining Dorchester, Stefanie worked at Ernst & Young LLP, New York, as a Senior Auditor in the financial services group. Her role included assessing the internal controls and the trade flow through various trading, risk and accounting systems as well as the policies and procedures around cash and valuation. Stefanie earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Delaware. She is a Certified Public Accountant.

Jason Gabrielli, CFA

Director, Partner
Jason serves as a Director in Research where he assists in business development and client relations. Prior to this, he served as an Analyst and then an Associate in Research, assisting in tracking and monitoring investments, as well as, performing quantitative analysis and manager due diligence. He earned a B.S. in Finance, Magna Cum Laude from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.

Harry Garcia, CFA

Harry serves as a Director in Research where he assists in investment sourcing, due diligence, portfolio management and ongoing monitoring of investments. He earned an MBA at Columbia Business School with Dean’s Honors and concentration in finance, and where he was a finalist for multiple value investing stock competitions. Prior to this he was an internal strategy consultant with NBCUniversal, and an equity research analyst at a value oriented, long-only asset manager in Santa Monica. He received his B.A. from UCLA, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a major in Economics and minor in Accounting. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.

Robert Johnson, CFA

Rob serves as a Director in Research where he assists in investment sourcing, due diligence, portfolio management and ongoing monitoring of investments. Previously, Rob was an investment professional with Goldman, Sachs & Co., responsible for multi-asset portfolio management. Prior to Goldman, he served as Senior Analyst with Origami Capital Partners, LLC, where he sourced, evaluated, and invested in hedge fund and private equity secondary interests. Rob is a graduate of the University of Iowa and earned an M.S. in Finance from DePaul University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.
