Dorchester sources hedge fund managers from a global referral network that our partners have built over several decades of career experience. Dorchester Research team comes from a variety of backgrounds including Wall Street investment banking, research and trading, private equity, institutional investment and hedge fund management.
Dorchester does not rely on quantitative screens or such simple funnels to source managers. Our partners' proprietary network or relationships includes our hedge fund managers, our clients, other hedge fund investors as well as colleagues in the investment management industry. Sourcing managers through a referral network allows Dorchester to access high quality managers, including those that are apparently closed to new investment.
