Dorchester takes a principal's approach to making investment decisions; our own personal capital is invested alongside our investors'. Our corporate culture encourages a passion for investing, intellectual curiosity, healthy skepticism and an appetite for detailed portfolio information.
Dorchester operates under defined guidelines that control the strategies and types of hedge funds in which we may invest. We have separate investment and operational due diligence staffs, have originated and utilize in-house risk measurement methods that are not commercially available; and, at times, employ a discretionary hedge overlay program with its own discrete rules and boundaries.
